The Transcendent Journey
Becoming a parent was the most transcendent experience of my life. Holding my firstborn in 2011, and then my second child a year later, brought a sense of pure bliss. Watching them grow from curious toddlers into independent pre-teens was completely enchanting. Without a doubt, those early years felt magical.

But as children mature, their world expands. They begin to ask for technology, wanting to navigate the digital spaces just like their friends. As parents, what do we do? We want them to thrive, so we give them access to these tools.

Suddenly, they hold one of the most powerful forces on the planet in their hands. And as the saying goes, “With great power also comes great responsibility.”

The Reality of the Nest
Children are our pride and joy—when they came into this world we thought to ourselves, wow a little me, and the love that came with it transcended beyond this realm. From the day they were born, watching them grow day-by-day was magical; fifteen years later, the love remained, but technology came into the picture and stole their attention.

Suddenly, they wanted to be left alone, “Daddy or Mommy, I don’t feel like hanging out today,” or “We’ll do it tomorrow.” Like so many parents, I remembered the exact moment the screen-time argument officially entered our living room, our kitchen, and even their rooms. It instantly felt like a constant battle between keeping my children safe and letting them explore the modern world.

That is why I created The Transcendent Nest. After fifteen years of wisdom gained in the trenches of real-world parenting, I realized that modern families don’t need highly curated, perfect social media feeds—we need an environment built on unvarnished truth. In a digital age where transparency is rare, I wanted to show my readers that honesty is not a lost art.
